GEOMORPHIC FEATURES OF THE THUẬN CHÂU AREA,

Abstract: This article presents research results on the flash flood geohazard basing on the analysis of geomorphic elements and application of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), proposed in 1980 by Thomas L. Saaty. It is the method of pairwise comparison to rank decisive methods and to select satisfactory options. The results have been helping to establish the map of flash flood risk zoning of the Thuận Châu area, Sơn La Province, in order to bring out methods of prevention and orientation for the planning of socio-economic development of the Sơn La Province.
