At present, the prospection of deeply distributed ferrous ores has not any
way except geophysic methods. Recently, geologists of the Geophysic Division
have been using the methods: 1) magnetic measurement along itineraries and
fixed lines; 2) gravitational and electromagnetic measurement, and induced
polarization sounding in these lines; 3) ditch digging and drilling for
control. The group of these methods has been helping to find a subsurface
deposit consisting mainly of magnetit.
